In 2005, Hurricane Katrina tore through New Orleans, leaving devastation in its wake.

VRE donated goods to help the thousands of Vietnamese and Vietnamese-American families in the Gulf States displaced by the hurricane. We purchased cooking fuel, jackets, sweats, socks, gloves and other necessities for these Vietnamese communities and distributed them through local charities in Louisiana and Mississippi.
