Every few years, floods ravage central Vietnam, destroying houses, separating families and taking lives. Droughts can also cripple parts of the country by drying out rice paddies and crops. These natural disasters, in their most severe forms, can wipe out the livelihoods of entire villages. Families who don't get a helping hand may take years to recover.

Vietnam Relief Effort's short-term goal is to help the affected regions by providing people with provisions to get them back on their feet. Our long-term goals are to help people rebuild again - away from the flood regions if possible.

In upcoming years, our efforts may extend to the rebuilding of village facilities, including community centers and schools. Please click here to find out about our recent projects.
