In January of 2008, VRE brought a group of volunteer doctors, dentists and nurses to the schools we built in Ben Tre province, located on the Mekong Delta. Due to local poverty, and the remoteness of the villages, few people there have access to medical care.

Once there, VRE’s doctors treated students for routine ailments, and medical professionals gave their parents tips on preventive medicine. Students also received donated healthcare products like toothpaste and vitamins.
